Moi: Mom, who is here?
Me: Nobody, it's just us.
Moi: Is daddy here?
Me: No, he's at work.
Moi: No, is MY DADDY here?
Me: No, he's at work right now.
Moi: Did he go to his office?
Me: Yes.
Moi: Did he go up the elevator?
Me: Yes.
Moi: Did he go up two elevators?
Me: Yes.
Moi: Is he looking out the window at the water and cars?
Me: No, he's probably looking at the computer doing work.
Then she made the most pitiful sad face I've ever seen after hearing that.
