Lots of Love

Moi and Joey at the park

Moi couldn't figure out what this dinosaur was. First she did the dog sign, then she did the elephant sign, then she said "hippo".
Wyatt giving Moi a kiss. How cute is this? I told them to kiss right before this and they totally kissed on the lips, then acted all shy. I couldn't belive it.

Moi looking out the window in Chris's office. She loves to look out. She goes "Water. Cars. Balls" over and over again. We still can't figure out where the balls are that she sees.

We had our final gymnastics class of the session last friday. Moi did really well over the course of 10 weeks. The first few classes all that she wanted to do was jump on the trampoline. She had no interest in the obsticle courses and would tantrum if I tried to get her to do them. By the end however, not only was she doing the obsticle courses, but she was tying to say it (osticle crssss) . She received a ribbon for participating. We'll have to save that in her memorobilia box.

She is really OCD about identifying colors. She says the color of EVERYTHING and usually nails it. She often says "green" for "blue" or vice versa, but then corrects herself. She always says the color of my shirt first thing when I go to get her out of her crib in the morning. Then she tells me the color of other things in the room- her sheet, the dragonflies, stuffed animals, etc.

We have been taking lots of walks with Missy. Moi very much likes Missy. I told her that Missy was coming over last night and she said "Hi Missy" out the front door for about 20 minutes until she got here. I have a short video of this available upon request. When Missy was leaving last night (right after Chris got home from work) I told Moi to say bye bye, and she wanted to go with Missy, she was saying "Bye bye to my mommy daddy! Bye bye to my mommy daddy". Yes, she does say "to" and "my".

We have this book called "From Head to Toe" by Eric Carle. It's Moi's new favorite book. She'll go get it and say "to Toe" and then do all the motions along with the book. She claps like a seal, wiggles her hips like a crocodile, and my personal favorite, gets down on her belly and kicks like a donkey. It's funny.

We had our music class today (one more to go in the session). Each song has a different instrument. When we first started the class in Jan. Moi would get so upset when it was time to return the instruments. She is so great at it now though, and when the song is over, she goes "all done! Bye bye (insert insturment name here, ex. sticks, eggs, balls)" and is very excited to return them to the bin. She will even take other kid's insturments out of their hands to return them for them. I guess that's not so great, but she has the spirit at least. When we were playing the egg shakers, she went around to every kid and told them what color their eggs were. Same with the balls.

She knows the difference between "girls" and "boys" now. She went up to the kids in class as we were leaivng and said "bye bye boy" or bye bye "girl (sounds like "grrrl").
