Cough

So Moi was struggling with a cough all weekend. She didn't nap AT ALL Sunday, which is a first in her little life, to not nap AT ALL. We tried and tried. At bedtime, she coughed and cried for 2.5 hours! I sent a desperate e-mail to my playgroup friends at 9pm for Dr. & Mom approved cough medicine recomendations, and as we were debating going out to get some, she finally went to sleep for the night. Monday I took her to the Dr. He thinks she just has a virus, and gave me the okay to give her some Robitussin DM. It seemed to work... She didn't cough for the first 1/2 hour of her nap, but then coughed for an hour straight, but finally went to sleep for another 2.5 hours. That's a total of 4 hours in her crib. She probably would have slept longer, but I was worried about her and kept going in to check on her and finally woke her up by opening the door. Anyway, she's been in a great mood through it all when she is up and awake.
Sunday in an attempt to distract her, we went furniture shopping. Although she loved furniture shopping on Saturday, Sunday, she only wanted to follow me around (I was the one shopping, Chris was supposed to be keeping an eye on her) and then she finally layed down with her face on the ground like she was going to go to sleep. We had to leave and the salesman looked annoyed at her that he had lost a sale. After that we went to Meijer, her favorite place in the whole world. We paid $1 to rent a little cart that looks like a car and has a little TV in it. She loved that, then wanted to get out and go look at the fish. We did the same thing Monday after her nap. It's a good way to kill some time.
When we were at the Dr.'s office today, she walked up the stairs saying "up" with each step.
She also loves this little baby that my friend Julie got for her. She picks it up and says "baby" and pats it's back and kisses it's head. This is the first time I've really seen her pretending.
She put it on her little toy chair and then she sat on it and threw it off. Guess she decided that she didn't want to share.
We had her music class today. She loved it and danced the whole time. She has a hard time returning the musical toys though. We'll have to practice at hom.
We are excited for baby boy Hogan!
