Happy Father's Day!

This is the cutest picture ever! I just love it. The look on her face is priceless. This picture is taken at Cosi, the museum in town. Chris actually worked there about 5 years ago. We couldn't decide what to do for Father's Day, and we finally decided on this. Cosi is the last place in town that we didn't have a membership to. Now we do! They have this whole Little Kidspace that is just awesome and Moira had a blast. We saw this water table and debated whether we should put her in it or not, b/c we weren't really prepared for a soaking wet baby, but they have raincoats for the kids to wear, and clothes dryers and towels. She loved it! She loved eating all the toys. The water smelled chlorinated and they said they cleam them all off. She could have stayed there all day, but we decided to take her out and see what else there was to play with.



These are some padded shapes in the corner. She loved climbing up them, and then trying to eat them.
She loved that there was an unlimited area where she could crawl.

Chris thought it was weird that people kept coming up to us and asking if their baby could play with ours. I said that's the way it works when they are this young. Everyone wants their babies to practice socialization. At this point, the babies just go up to each other, smack each other on the head a few times, and crawl away. This little girl, Maya, seemed to kind of want to play with Moira. Moira would not be held back though, she crawled away after like 30 seconds.

In other firsts this week, Moira and I hit the pool with Lauren and Aiden this week. Moira seemed to like the water. What she really like is when the big kids run around and yell and laugh. She laughes like crazy at that. We also went to Polaris Mall yesterday and she watched the big kids play in Jack Hannah's Columbus Zoo play area. The play area has these large, foam animals that the kids go nuts over. She is too little to play there, but she got some entertainment over watching it. Here is handsome boy Aiden. He has a big birthday coming up this week!

It was really hard for me to get a picture of Moi sitting up. She just wants to grab a handful of grass and eat it.

Today Moira pulled herself up on her feet all by herself on her school bus and pushed it around semi-walking! That was exciting.

Also, I fear this 8 month mommy separation anxiety is starting. Yesterday was really rough. She only wanted me, no matter what daddy did. Today was better though.

We did a lot of babyproofing this weekend. We are in pretty good shape now, although we still need a gate for the steps. I'm sure we will find more things that need babyproofing as time goes on, but for now, we are good.

Happy Father's day to my dad, who won't be reading this for awhile b/c he is partying in Key West. No fair!
